I’m Heike, and my mission is to help professionals step into the spotlight with confidence and intention. Drawing on 17 years of fair trade marketing experience, my photography centers storytelling, joy, and a celebration of unfiltered truth. I love helping people shift their perspective on what brand photography can do for them. That’s why I regularly speak about photography and branding—in my trademark German accent—for networking groups, panels, and podcasts.
When I’m not with clients, I’m often exploring our world through travel, including annual visits home to Germany. Then it’s back to dancing, playing table games with family over margaritas, savoring homegrown organic food… and soaking up the simple pleasures of country life.

I needed some last minute headshots for a music program that I had gotten into. After a quick google search, Heike came up and I gave her a call. I was lucky that she was around to answer, and we talked over what the session would entail as well as other details. Working with Heike was wonderful. The communication before the photo shoot was very clear and streamlined, and I knew just what to do to prepare. At the shoot, Heike graciously helped me choose the best outfit combinations for various backgrounds. She also was really flexible about including a unique prop (my unicycle) in my photos in a unique way (me unicycling in the studio). The photos that came out of the shoot were great, and the hardest thing about the whole process was choosing which of the many amazing photos to go with!

Heike is super flexible, accommodating and very talented at what she does. I have a very unusual situation with many independent contractors. Heike talked with me multiple times before the day of the photo shoot so we could prepare for a successful day. She made everybody feel comfortable in front of the camera. She is genuine and knowledgeable when it comes to getting the pictures needed to represent my company and what we do. We shot multiple people in the middle of a pandemic and she has a way to do a group picture without everybody getting together! I am very happy with the results and so are my team members.

Before our photo session, Heike met with me to learn more about me and my love of swimming. She also worked to understand what I wanted from our session, how I wanted to be portrayed as an athlete. My brand photoshoot with Heike was an extraordinary experience. I felt comfortable, taken care of, and heard from the moment of first contact all the way through the photoshoot — and beyond. Because of her detailed questionnaire and our virtual meeting pre-shoot, I felt completely prepared, inspired, and excited when I arrived day-of. We were able to brainstorm and collaborate on ideas together — resulting in a MUCH more robust experience than I could have envisioned by myself. We moved effortlessly through multiple locations (within the same building), several outfits, and a variety of props — creating a library of unique and varied images.
