Her Business Restores More Than Appearance. Now Her Brand Images Reflect That.

A client spotlight on Grace & Grit Beyond Beauty
Amy Ames knows what it feels like to lose her hair. She has lived the fear, the frustration, and the vulnerability that comes with it. She knows what it is like to look in the mirror and not quite recognize the woman looking back. That experience did not just shape her. It became her calling. She built Grace & Grit Beyond Beauty so that no woman would have to navigate that journey alone.

Amy had already put in the work and built something meaningful. What she needed was a visual presence that finally matched what she had created. That is exactly where our work together began.
Through luxury human hair wigs, toppers, and extensions, Amy guides women through one of the most emotionally vulnerable seasons of their lives and brings them back to feeling like themselves again. She serves clients both in person and virtually across the United States, beginning with a discovery call to make sure she can support each woman in the way she truly needs. That relationship-centered approach is woven into everything she does.
Before our session, Amy’s biggest frustration was one I hear often from women whose businesses go far deeper than what a surface-level photo can communicate. “I was not able to convey what I do for women in photos,” she shared. “We are so much more than a wig shop and I want people to know that.” Her work is rooted in transformation, trust, and connection. Her branding images needed to reflect that.
Part of what I love about this work is sitting with a client long enough before the session to understand not just what she does, but how she does it and why it matters. With Amy, that conversation made it clear that the images needed to feel like her: grounded, warm, and quietly powerful. The kind of branding photography that does not just catch someone’s eye, but stops them long enough to feel something.

The results have spoken for themselves. Since updating her brand images, Amy’s visibility has grown in ways that go well beyond social media metrics. She has been featured in magazines, podcasts, and radio interviews. People recognize her in public and stop to talk about Grace & Grit and the impact it is having on women’s lives. And in one of the most moving outcomes she shared with me, a client’s family was so deeply touched by their loved one’s transformation that they donated a digital billboard to help spread awareness of the work Amy is doing.
Marketing visuals did not create that momentum on their own. But they gave her mission a face that the world could finally see.

When I asked Amy to describe her session experience in three words, she said: Empowering. Authentic. Transformational. That is everything I hope every client walks away feeling.
Her advice for women entrepreneurs who are ready to take their visibility seriously is something I want every woman reading this to sit with for a moment:
“You have built the business. Now show up in it. People want to see who they are buying from and feel connected to the person behind the brand. When you show up confidently and authentically, trust builds quickly, and trust is what creates loyal customers.”
If you are a woman experiencing hair loss or major hair changes and you are ready to find a solution that feels like you again, Amy is someone you need to know.

When was the last time you truly felt seen?
Photography isn’t about performing or looking a certain way. It’s about presence and allowing who you are and what you bring to be clearly reflected.
From my studio in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, I work with women who lead, build, and carry a lot by helping them create personal branding and portrait images that feel honest, grounded, and aligned with the work they do in the world.
These images aren’t just for marketing. They support clarity, connection, and showing up in a way that feels true.
If you’re curious about what it would feel like to be photographed with intention, I invite you to have a conversation.
