Photoshoot Tips for Real Estate Agents
Building your personal brand as a real estate agent goes beyond a great headshot. How do you differentiate yourself in a market that can seem over saturated? With more than a million agents in the United States, a first-time home buyer can have her pick. Which agent should they choose and why?
Real estate agents Brittany Garner and Beth Ann Baffuto, known across Lancaster County, PA as The 2 B’s, did a deep dive with me during their planning session. Here are several points that we considered that will help them stand out from the sea of real estate specialists in the Lancaster area.
- Focus on what makes you different
- Go beyond visuals of new homes on the market or happy buyers
- What services do you specialize in?
- Where are you involved in your community?
- Be Human
Focus on what makes you different
Working together as a team is one of The 2 B’s strength. Their unique gifts and areas of interest allow them to team tag and provide a full-rounded service.
Add visuals that give value
Sure you can easily explain the buying or selling process in a boring text-only paragraph or two. Sharing an image that shows the agents and tips together is not only visually appealing and on-brand, but it also helps your prospective clients remember who actually shared this tip. You are sharing your knowledge and building trust all in one go.
What services do you specialize in?
I love getting The 2 B’s email newsletter every month because they keep me updated on home maintenance, changes in the market and their newest homes. By adding one of their personal branding images to each email they are again helping their clients remember them and everything they have to offer.
Be involved in your community
Brittany and Beth Ann are passionate about the motto Life Changes Realty Group has been built on “Open Hearts, Open Doors, Welcome Home”. It’s about partnering with each client in this journey of change and giving back to the community by donating a percentage of each sale to a non-profit organization the client chooses.
Be human
That should be a given, so why am I pointing this out? Being human and staying human as you build your personal brand is something you want to continuously keep in mind. One of the questions I ask all of my clients is how they would like to be experienced or seen by their target audience. The adjectives that The 2B’s used to describe themselves are fun, playful, professional, vibrant, approachable, light and bright. Their images are showing this across the board, and it makes posting and genuinely connecting on social media a breeze.
Creating images that help you build your personal brand with your overall goals in mind, is part of the Personal Brand Photography Experience that I offer to solopreneurs and small businesses.
